Garry, to you I am just a face in the crowd, but to me and many like me you are one of our heros that we enjoy watching race every week. I am just hoping that you make a full and speedy recovery from the horrific injuries you have suffered. Thoughts are with you and your family and friends at this awful time. Keep positive.

I have been attending speedway since 1964, and had the pleasure of "rescuing" Wimbledon in 1987. A few years back, I took my eldest daughter to Craven Park when "steady" rode for Hull. He was politeness personified and allowed my daughter to sit on his bike for a photograph. What tragic news. These guys put their necks on the line every time they sit on a bike - for our entertainment. I will certainly be making a donation to the fund, money cannot buy health but will hopefully ensure that Garry is comfortable. Let's all rally round and show him how much we appreciate people like him. Good luck for the future Garry - you are in all our thoughts.
David
