On behalf of all Newcastle Diamonds fans, may I wish you all the strength and determination possible in your long road back to recovery. When I see highly paid footballers dropping to the floor for nothing after a tackle...it brings it home how you Speedway riders are a breed apart! I hope you will come to Brough Park to watch a meeting some time in the future...cause believe me you will get a huge Geordie welcome...Best Of Luck Garry!!!!!

"Get Well Soon Garry" just doesn't cut it - thinking of you especially now in these early dark days - keep your chin up. Hopefully everyone who sends good wishes will help in some small way to get you on the road to recovery. A reborn "Brummies Fan"

Garry, what can we say. Only that we were devastated by the news of your accident and injuries. We saw the piece that yorkshire tv did of you the other night and it was great to see you sat up and talking. Sending you our very best wishes and we hope you make a good recovery. We will come to see you if thats ok? Love Trish and Paul Smith (smudger) and family x

Hi Garry Just been thinking about the times you guested for us at Swindon - you were both a great rider and a great laugh. After that you were one of those riders that I would 'let off' scoring a decent amount of points for the opposition! I am really saddened to hear the full extent of your injuries and am thinking of you and your family at this tough time. Jo x

Garry - Long time since we saw you last. My dad still remembers trying to stop you sneaking into Odsal every week without paying!! We just wanted to let you know that we are thinking about you and monitoring your progress. Best wishes to you and your family - be strong and don't hassle the nurses too much!! from Jo Storey & dad (Keith Tomlinson) :-*
