TOSELAND RULED OUT DUE TO TESTING
CURRENT World Superbike leader James Toseland has withdrawn from appearing at the Garry Stead Benefit Grand Prix Speedway meeting at Sheffield’s Owlerton Stadium on Thursday 23rd August.
Speaking from Magny Cours in France James has sent Garry his apologies and best wishes for a successful event. “I am really disappointed and know just how much everyone has been looking forward to the session” said James “Testing has been extended to the end of the week following resurfacing of the racing circuit. The track has been knocked about a bit this year and the team need to be completely confident we can do the job to clinch the Championship”
Sheffield Co-Promoter, Neil Machin added “This was always the risk, James volunteered to be with us but is obviously contractually obligated to his Superbike Team, the guys will play on without him but it is only fair that we should inform everyone as early as possible.”
